OMA Charity Awards 2019 – The Results!
Last Friday we held the annual OMA charity awards, celebrating all the hard work put in by our brokers to make sure our customers get the right advice, every time.
Quickly becoming a key part of the mortgage industry social calendar, our awards not only look to highlight the brokers who literally change people’s lives for the better, but also raise money for great causes.
A great night, and a worthy cause
Held at Derbyshire County Cricket Club and supported by our key sponsors Bluestone, Pepper Money, Precise Mortgages, Kensington Mortgages, Criteria Hub, Magellan Home Loans, Vida Home Loans, Accord Mortgages, Brilliant Solutions, Skipton Building Society and Masthaven, we were also able to raise vital money for one of our chosen charities Mercy Hands Uganda (MHU).
MHU is based amidst eight poverty-stricken villages in Mpigi District within Kafumu Parish. Their goal is to make a difference and improve the quality of life for generations to come.
Each award was judged on the advisors’ performance over the year, recognising the stand-out advisors for each category.
We are incredibly selective with the brokers and advisors we work with, and this was reflected in the nominees for each award.
All the categories were highly competitive, but in the end each award was taken home by worthy winners.
We also took the opportunity have a few drinks and bust some moves on the dance floor…
The winners…
Congratulations to all the finalists and winners, and here is to another great 12 months for both our brokers and our customers.

Hall of fame
This year’s “Hall of fame” winner has been inducted for their continued and tireless support of the business, brokers past and present, and support team since before day 1 years and years ago.
This person has certainly sacrificed so much if their time to enable others to succeed, likely at the cost of an award or two over the years, and many of his understudies have blossomed into winners in previous years and certainly tonight.
